How to care for your polymer clay jewelry?

A delicate, yet easy-to-live-with jewel

Polymer clay jewelry is lightweight, durable, and retains its shine over time... provided you care for it gently.

At Atelier Marly , each piece is handcrafted in our workshop in Lille. And like any artisanal creation, it deserves your attention.

5 simple steps to preserve their beauty

  1. Avoid contact with water : Remove your jewelry before showering, swimming or any wet activity.
  2. Avoid perfumes and cosmetics : apply your care products before putting on your jewelry to avoid altering their finish.
  3. Store them separately : use a soft pouch or jewelry box to avoid friction.
  4. Clean them gently : a soft, dry cloth is sufficient. Do not use solvents or abrasive products.
  5. Handle them with care : even though polymer clay is flexible, avoid twisting or strong shocks.

What if a tassel gets dirty?

A dry or very slightly damp microfiber cloth will do the trick. For gold finishes, avoid all chemicals. Gold plating is fine, precious, and deserves to be preserved naturally.

A jewel that will last a long time

Well cared for, an Atelier Marly jewel will last through the seasons without losing its shine.
It is not about making it a fixed object, but about accompanying it - as one takes care of a precious connection.
